How about kirsty and laura split the driving, and isnt parking at the hotel free?

If you're talking about the travel inn thats like, opposite the ExCeL centre then the parking costs I think, can't remember how much though.

scarp the driving from me, I cant get my car insured til early November anyway (just found out)

We'll see how much the tickets are when they come out.. But yeah.. you have to pay £12 to park at that Travelodge because people used to abuse it.. people who are using the airport.

I probably wouldn't be able to do May though because I'll have like, just left year 11 so it'd be GAH EXAMS etc.

I might get some money for my birthday though but I'm probably going to have to weigh up the pros and cons of October Vs. May and see what happens.

Yep, it's on a weekend! And you can check when your exams are in November, I think it is, when you exam timetables are released!

Get the bus. Book in advanced and its around 32 quid return over the 4 days from Grimsby to somewhere in London. I say over the 4 days since it is 6 hours on a friggin' bus. I have traveled by epic long bus of doom before, and I can tell you its every bit as bad as you might think it could be. And then worst.

Thing is as I'm only 16 and I've never been to London, and because London is such a big place,
my mum and dad wouldn't let me go on a bus all the way to London on my own.

Meh I'm sure there be others getting a bus down there if they ain't going by car.

Yep, we're all going by train =D I'm going to speak to everyone about it on monday and get some sort of idea how rooms are going to be shared etc.

I'll probably go the same route as somebody else so I don't have to think about it...

Feeling sort of indifferent and unintelligent at this point.

Train tickets aren't out for another 2 weeks.. *just checked* That's good..

Rooms are going to be a little more expensive this year though.. but if you are sharing 4 to a room, it won't work out too much extra.. so far for 3 nights, based on 4 people sharing a room, it'll be £30 each.

Just to spell it out to people, that means you ONLY pay £30 and that's it. *doesn't want people thinking they'll be paying £30 a night like last time*

Travelodges prices are always up and down so anything could happen..

EDIT: Train tickets will be avaliable from Wednesday onwards. Make sure you buy them this week or next so that you can get them for £26 return. I suggest aiming for midday (1am-1pm ish) for the cheapest rates.

Yesterday I was talking to my parents about the expo and the look on their (rather drunk) faces seemed to be a look of them considering letting me go.

Then they sobered up and haven't said anything since.

Do the tickets sell fast?

I might be able to get the tickets next week or week after.

Tickets for the Expo itself are on sale up until a month before on thier website I think, but you can get them on the day too. The only difference is the tickets you buy online are early entry tickets, so you get to go in an hour before everyone else - Which is good if there is something you want to get before everyone else arrives, like limited siging tickets or something like that.

You can get one for just Saturday, or just Sunday, or the Weekend ticket for both days which is cheaper than getting both seperately.

ok so 24th, 25th.. I should be ok to go on saturday but I might have to go back to Leeds (hopefully leeds uni!!!) by sunday night... however if I get into West Minster (if i can't get into leeds) I'll be there..there XD london

I'll probably just book one night in a hotel... and then move my luggage into another (willing ) person's room on a sunday and leave sunday night.. ._.;;;
