| The next London Expo is May 29th (Saturday) and 30th (Sunday) 2010. I think, this time, I'm going to stay the Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights. Because one, Monday night is cheaper than Thrusday night at the London City Airport Travelodge and two, I may have exams on the Thrusday and Friday (Monday and Tuesday [day I'll be returning] are in half term). Currently for a family room for 3 nights (FriSatSun) it's £106 which works out £26.50 each based on 4 people sharing a room OR £35.40 based on 3 people sharing a room. + £35 if you are staying the Monday night too. So that'll work out £35.25 for 4 people, £47 for 3 people. Pretty damn good rates really! I'm planning to book my room sometime in the next few months, no later than January, because I've had word that PTI is upping it's prices from £200 for three nights to £300! So it's likely people will be choosing to stay at alternative options.. We don't want to end up at Barking again, or do we? xp Then of course, book train tickets end of February/begining of March to get £23 return tickets to London =D Travelodge: http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_book/saver_search.php?changeWeek=1&locpostText=e16 | |

| Here's an idea for some people this time (not all), GET IT BOOKED BEFORE A WEEK IN ADVANCE!!!
Now that's out of the way *ehem*
Hope it's not as crowded as it was October >_>;; Like last May would be nice, sooo much quieter X_X

| Just for reference/comparison:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights in the Premier Travel Inn right next to the ExCeL center costs £388
£388 split between 4 people is £97 - and will probably rise as time goes on.
I'll be going to the Expo in May, waiting to see who else goes before I decide what I'm doing about rooms.

| I'll see if I can go in May, I could easily get the money to go, however whenever I have exams is the main concern. Though I only do written exams for two subjects and with some of those I do in January, so it should be okay. | |

| Relatively cheap hotels near ExCeL: Custom House Hotel, London Standard twin room (Arrive Friday, leave Monday): £165 Proximity to ExCeL: Right next to it. Premier Inn, Beckton, London Quad room: (Arrive Friday, leave Monday): £160 Proximity to ExCeL: (Hotel is directly next to a station that links to the Custom House (ExCeL station) - or a ~30 minute walk) (LCA is close to the Southern end of the bridge that leads off the photo - closer than Beckton)

| The Custom House Hotel sounds pretty good! Nice and close to the Expo and trains so it would be a piece of cake getting around. | |

| Could always put 2 to a bed, or push them together, put 3 on beds and 1 on the floor (what we ended up doing in Barking lol) | |

| I'll probably go for Custom House if enough people wanna stay there - a room for Fri-Monday would be £40 with 4 people in a room. | |

| Im taking bets on what the drama will be this time.
Also i'd rather stay at london city airport, its really close, cheaper than the others and gives us all a bed, no chance am i sleeping on the floor again, i don't get why you wanna go to custom house tom, its more expensive and some of us would have to sleep on the floor, its just not logical.

| With Custom House Tom, check first with people who have stayed there before how they feel about 'room sharing'.
The maximum people per room there is 2 adults and a child under the age of 11. They appear a lot tighter on this rule than Travelodges.

| The premier inn is really good quality place to stay and trust me, it is pretty bloody close to the ExCeL centre and like said before, its right next to the train that goes to the city. I stay there every time I go to London and it's really good I'm hoping to negotiate a deal with my parents (even if its staying with them and then going to the expo with you guys while they go into the city or whatever) so that I can go in May but they're still on hand so that Kirsty doesn't have full responsibility for me Failing that Paige will be 16. She's determined to go and so I'll just make her take responsibility for me | |

| Lmfao!!! XP Courtney.. *dies*
Yeah, the PTI is where the most expo-ers stay! In May we 'gatecrashed' it because after the expo, everyone hangs out there, and we infiltrated, made it to the top floor and Alex started shouting 'THE GAME' out the window to everyone below xp!!

| We should impose anti-drama measures - No one is allowed to talk to or even look at anyone else after 8pm - That should solve all our problems x3
No one is going to be happy if they have to sleep on the floor - Though it would be nice to get a close as possible to where we want to be and the trains - Because we all (Well except for Tom and his 'manly' bag) had loads of stuff we brought with us, and even more to take back, it's quite far to and from the station at both Barking and LCA. Means we don't have to get up as early either!
How about Premier Inn? - Least that way there will be lots of other Expo goers to bother, who will also be being nosiy so we can't get yelled at, and they do rooms for four. (Oooh and they give you shower gel!)
Other thing to think about is the luggage - Premier Inn check in is at 2pm, about right for us coming from Grimsby if we get the 9.30am train, and check out is a 12pm but you can leave luggage with them on up till 9pm on the day of your departure.

| PTI is closer to a few more things than london city airport without being that much more expensive right? so that seems like quite a good option, and apparently loads of expoers go there | |

| PTI is the one we 'crashed' with Abbi, Alex and Luke, Viki. Only thing with PTI that puts me off is the price.. £388.00 for 4 nights for a family room x_x OR £310.00 for 3 nights for a family room x___x ^^^ Red is the walk between LCA Travelodge(B) and PTI(A) ^^^ Personally, I'd rather pay a lot less and hurl around my luggage/walk an extra - I'll run on expo adrenoline!!! But, we could all just go to different hotels? And meet up? *shrugs* I'm tight (¬__¬ no innuendos.) - I like saving as much money as possible + I can sleep wherever xp as long as there is bed, all is well. | |

| I'm frugal, so I'd go for the cheapest option.
I also might have exams during that week so I might have to do the thing I did in oct, going friday night and back on sunday night T^T
