GYAAM Halloween Cosplay Party Extravaganza!!! 27th OCTOBER 2008

This night is going to need quite a bit of preparation and a little help, kay? n_n

I'll explain the plan first and then the details. Basically, I'm going to advertise the party on the internet (other A+M club forums etc etc.) and also invite the new Scunthorpe club along! n_n I'm not expecting loads of people (who aren't GYAAM members) to come, but still, that doesn't matter, right? We'll have plenty of fun either way.

As the title suggests, its a cosplay event! However, Halloween outfits and fancy dress are welcome, only those in cosplay can take part in the cosplay contest, but don't worry over it too much.

The party will start at 7:30pm and last till 10pm, but its fine for people to arrive at 7pm onwards to socialise/get changed/help out etc.

There'll be lots of food (sweet + savoury) and drink (not just squash! xp for a change!) that myself and Abbi will be bringing, but we are also asking each member of GYAAM if they could bring one thing each i.e. tube of pringles/bottle of pop/whatever you feel like bringing which is edible xp

There'll be music! From cheesy classics like The Macarena and Y.M.C.A. to Hare Hare Yukai and Caramel Dansen and then back to the sugar and spice of J-Pop.

There'll also be party games like pass-the-parcle (because yes, yes we are all still 6 years old mentally and like party games) and! A Scare Contest! Whoever is scared the most during the night will be crowned Minister of Cowards! And! A Cosplay contest (for those in cosplay).

Soo yeah.. o_O I think I covered everything.. (Oh yeah! We'll be in the 'big' room, not the usual main room).

All we need to sort out is:

• Lighting
  
• Micro Phone
  
• Anything else you can think of..

wow sounds like this is gonna be one hell of an event, Pretty bodacious even

i'm taking it as read that when you say other drinks apart from squash means other soft drinks. Liking the scare contest idea, will be good fun.

I'm happy to help out wherever i can and pitch in with anything. Also i'll have a talk with me music teacher and see if i might be able to borrow a mic for the night but there'd be no guarentee he'd let me but no harm in asking

Glad to see the Scare Contest on the plans; I brought that one up on Monday. Everything looks pretty set already and I'm looking forward to the Cosplay Contest; care to explain the rules for that one a bit more, Kirsty?

I've already said I'll help bring in some more food and drink (Maybe some milkshake to really be random.) And since we are speaking of party games, since we'll be in a circle anyway for pass the parcel (and the simple fact that there will be a number of people who won't have been to the club before) we may as well through in our running game in there too. (As in the name something you like and grab an empty seat before they're taken.)

As for music, are we all bringing CD's or is it all going to be supplied by one person and his laptop?

Decorations shouldn't be hard to find. Anyone who wants to supply pumpkins complete with carved faces can do so. (Maybe if more than one person does so, a vote on best pumpkin made.)

Another thing, I honestly think video cameras should be brought along; just because waiting a whole year for the next one without footage of how we last did it would mean a) No looking back on the fun times and b) Not being able to confirm if we were doing EXACTLY what we did the last time. (That does make sense to me. ^^)

If I think of anything else to add to this, I'll double post. (Only kidding; I'm not that kind of killer. ) I'll just wait to see what everyone else has to say first before adding another post.

yeh proberly not best to just have sweets and stuff, a small buffet would be good. I think i've seen piniatas either in wilkos or the pound shop too

I have never seen pinata for sale, anywhere, ever. This sounds like so much fun! I'm so going to try and get the train to the club just for this.

They do dead good pinatas in woolworths (Y)
but it'd probably be cheaper in wilko's or somewhere else

ive had pinata's for birthdays so you can get them XD but yeah they are some in woolies with like blindfolds and sticks i think....question where would we hang it?

If were allowed i vote we do egg and three-legged racing! Ive ALWAYS wanted to do those since i never got to do them as a kid, itd be awesome! XD (if not a little messy >w>) Yeah, maybe not the best of occassions to do such things, but hey, i thought id throw it out there =P

Well i would only be wearing a captains jacket from Bleach since i dont have any other cosplay T_T

hopefully by the event i'll get my trigun glasses but seems doubtful i'll actually be able to get the actual vash cosplay in time which is a shame

@Ruisu: If that were the case you'd just simply be cosplaying as a hentai character which would be very disturbing

Cosplay Contest - At some point, we'll have all the cosplayers come up to the front to show off their costumes, then everyone votes.. I'm still deciding on how the voting will go though *thinks*
Rules - You have to name the character you are dressed as. I don't see any need for more rules than that?

Music, I'll download (legally *shifty eyes*) songs, put them on a memorystick/whatever and then stick that into Alex's laptop.. though I'm wondering if his speakers will be loud enough *thinks* that room does echo alot.. soo we'll have to run a test. If anyone has any song requests then let me know!

I thought about Pumpkin carving, and then decided against it because one it would be very messy, and two health and safety xp *thinks of the sharp knives which would be needed* But if people want to bring some along as decorations that's fine! n_n

A Pinata would be fantastic! But.. like Jess pointed out.. where would we hang it? We'll have to have a look on Monday, see what we can do..

A three-legged race would be so fun! we should definatly do one! Buut... not so sure about egg and spoon race xp might get a little too messy.. but I have an egg game in store Is there any other games people fancy doing? OMG! Musical statues! Soo so far we have Pass the Parcle, Three-legged-race and Musical statues xp *excited* Kid's party games powaaa!

Yes xp Well.. Halloween costumes/fancy dress is perfectly fine too! Buy a cape and fangs from ASDA for only 47p! Or.. you could cosplay as a H-Game character (naked).
