29th September - AMV Contest!

Next Monday meeting we're having an AMV Contest!

For those who aren't sure:

AMV stands for Anime Music Video. An AMV is a music video consisting of clips from one or more anime series or video games. The purpose of an AMV (usually) is to convey a certain theme that runs through the anime, from romantic pairings to exciting battles.

Rules:

• Must have anime footage (or video game i.e. Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts etc.)
  
• Songs cannot be too offensive.
  
• 5 AMVs per person
  
• No longer than 6 minutes each (any concerns about this please contact me)
  

Please bring them in on a memory stick/floppy disk etc. If you have any problems with this please contact me.

Slly kirsty, floppy discs don't hold enough data to store a video, plus my laptop doesnt have a floppy disc drive xp

lol it is pretty hard to find floppy drives on laptops now, might use that as an excuse not to do college work now

>_>;;;;; Ok you obv didn't read ma whole post XD. an AMV wont fit on a floppy disc. Floppy discs are only a few kb, not a few mb.

unless its an extra special one thats cylindrical and fits in a cd drive

i don't count those as floppy discs >_>, they're.... mini-CDs

well if you melt them abit they soon become floppy

EDIT: In all seriousness, i find AMVs to be very annoying. Especially when you're trying to find a music video all you get are crappy DBZ ones.

yeh sometimes they are very annoying, i get most irritated when looking for a series and finding only tons of amvs

Exactly. Still, some are chuffing awesome. I remember seeing a Crisis Core one, can't remeber what song... But it was awesome.

EH!? o_o Seriously?! But.. I still use floppy discs.. Not that I've ever tried to put a video on one.. but I was just thinking of cheaper ways for people >_<

I also have 2 Furuba ones (It's technically 3, but tw are exactly the same, but different songs [One Final Distance, the other Final Distance (Instrumental Version], so there's no point showing both, is there?)

bought a 2GB - haven't found it YET

Yeh but i think the most annoying are the youtube retards who upload a video claiming it to be an anime episode and it being the rate leangth only to find out its a vid to summat completely different

thats why you download using torrents. 99% of the time when it says its an episode and isn't it's a troll user from the fansub group that does that anime to piss you off. Dattebayo do this frequently (which I find greatly funny, because i download instead of lolstream)
