Please answer this Poll (if you don't you have no say in the matter)

First off, if you have voted POST that you have. If you can't follow simple instructions (like last time), i'm going to start wounding you.

This is deciding if i bother with you lot anymore so be truthful.

Seriously people, when some thing is voted to be watched and you havn't seen it before, BROADEN YOUR HORIZENS. Just because you havn't seen or heard of it before doesn't mean it's crap. You'd think some of you would come to watch anime considering it's an ANIME AND manga club. It's sad when you show something for people to watch and 2 out of 8 people havn't seen it before.
Come on people stop living in the image that there is only one good anime or one good manga and all others are bad.

Girls if an anime doesn't have a bishie, oh wah wah cry me a river, get used to ye olde anime styles when it was designed for guys to watch.

Guys if you don't like the anime don't constantly tell me that 'so-in-so' series is better and we should watch that next week. Telling me the once is ok and I will consider putting it in for a vote to watch, but telling me like over 9000 times in the space of 20 minutes is excessive.

Newfags don't assert how you think things should be run. It's been fine with out you, stop trying to change the system, because you want to.

Last night's performance from everyone was quite terrible- and no I don't mean the cooking performance, that was quite nice. No, I'm talking about people's attitudes to the club, especially those running it. I'm not saying this because I consider myself one of those higher ups- personally I don't want to be. I just want the club to be run properly (by those attending).

Kirsty, Alex and Abbi have done their fair share for the club, they brough the music, projector, anime, food and especially- the actual venue itself. They ask for £1.50- and that's all you give, I'm under the impression that everyone thinks that's their job done, that's all they need to do. Wrong. You need to at least show a modicum of respect for everyone there, there was music on, quite loudly- yet myself, alex, lee and rowan (who were quite literally right next to the speakers) couldn't hear each other speak, let alone hear the music.

Now I'm not pushing the noise blame onto anyone, because to be honest- the noise is from everyone, and last night was a bit of a turn-around (The usual loud ones being quiet and vice versa) So I don't get what's going on.

People need to learn to respect other people's interests, tastes, and especially our eardrums- kthx.

You're at the club to learn and discuss new anime. Not hold up a banner (metaphorically speaking) that so-and-so is best and all must follow you. I've watched anime that I would've never usually had the time for (Shakugan no Shana and Claymore to name a couple), I don't know if I can say the same for everyone else- seeing as you all walk out.

*rolls eyes* Excuse me? What a terrible generalisation. I'd like to know who you are aiming that at, because to be honest I think there's only one girl like that in the club and that's myself. I just don't like watching anime/reading manga with an ugly cast =_=

Take a good look at what we do in the club, how much is manga? and how much is anime? 30mins-1hour of anime, 0mins 0 hours of manga (unless we have a specific manga reading night). Enough said.

Just to add to the purpose and reason behind the club.. There's many reasons why I started the club (that I'm not going to go into but one of the reasons) was because I wanted to create a club where people can meet and socialise with others who have an interest in Anime and Manga, and a club where people can celebrate their love for it. Initially.. but then as I thought about it more, also a place where people can learn from each other and share with each other, so, yes, a place to broaden their horizons. They are what I intended the true purposes of the club to be. OMG O_O I just realised.. I forgot to put on my ring and bracelets! O_____O DUN DUN DUNNNNNN!!! *cough* Sorry xp it was a shocking moment.. Thought I'd lost them xp

Anyway, back on topic. This club is not school, people have freedom of opinion and expression. They are free to come and go as they please. If people really don't want to watch an anime, fair enough. As long as they don't disrupt anyone who does, I don't see any problem with that. I don't want to force anyone to do anything they don't want with regards to the club. I just want everyone to enjoy theirselves and have fun! n___n

i voted for anime and manga and i come to the club to meet new people who like anime and manga and when i watch anime and manga i havent watched or heard of before im always interested since new anime and manga interest me a lot ^^

Claymore was great last night Alex thanks for putting it on ^^

I know some people don't like me having an oppinon on whats going on at the club due to me not being able to attend. Anyway with this i think it really is best to see new stuff that people don't know of as if you continue to watch only things you've already seen then surely its going to end up becoming boring but if your watching something new that the majority of people havn't heard of then there will surely be more of an interest for you because you don't know whats going to happen so you end up watching it and thn finding out if you do or don't like it. It just creates more fun i'd imagine for everyone.

Thats what I want people to see it like, but everytime it's something the majority havn't heard of they go "pfffft we're off now" or "hey lets talk over it!" Lee's gone out his way to download Claymore in the space of 4 days (it's now liscensed so we're screwed for downloading now), and the people sat around watching were 5 people who had already seen all of it and 2 people who hadn't seen it, everyone else was outside.

the only reason some people went outside was because they were goin home including me, im sorry if i offended u in any way becuase i didnt stay for the anime but i wanted to go home

Well i had to go since i had to go home since it is a long journey for me so im sorry if i offend anyone but if i could i would be more than happy to stay to watch it all and plus all the animes i have seen so far at the club have been so good that i have put them in my anime valut ^^

I guess timings always a difficult factor when it comes to showing something as people can't always stay but also its hard to show something earlier on, guess its just one of those cycles. It is bad that people talk over it, if they are going home and seeing others off they could go outside to do that. Looks like the old saying is true though "people are afraid of change".

hi i voted on the manga and talk for a while seen as tho thats all people do, that is until someone puts the dvd on near the end but am normally gone/going by then.
at the end of the day i go there to meet new people (which i have Very Happy

) and try to get into anmie and manga. so far one manga lol.

i chose manga and then chat fo a while, but you word it bad, some people wanna talk, so we have the games ect. and when there is anime on, people who want to talk go outside. so whats unfair about that. stop complaining. just cos there is an anime on, doesnt mean we all have to sit and watch it. when anime has been on people have shut up or gone outside. nothing wrong is happening as far as i i can see, yes i been here only few weeks but i dont see anything wrong. i think its paranoia to be honest

Only because I find watching anime to be boring. They usually miss out loads of stuff, and I prefer reading anyway >_>

And like Kirsty said, it's not school, and I'd rather not walk home at stupid O'clock at night down Freeman St.
Plus, the times /do/ say 7pm-9pm. If it was an open-ended thing, then I'm sure more people may stay if they get parents etc. to pick them up.
But I have to walk, and most of the people I walk with leave me to walk through town alone, and I'd rather not get chased, stabbed/ whatever on my way home O_o

Anyhoo, there's my opinion, I'm not sure whether people would take it seriously or not, seeing as they never do, anyway >_>

EDIT: Oh, and Alex, I'm guessing by the "bothering with us anymore" rant is about that if we choose the manga option, you won't bother with us? Because if that's so, then that's very unfair

I chose manga and chat for a while. Simple reason: who doesnt? Seriously, how can we be expected to sit there and watch something we dont like or arent that interested in watching? I know ive been complaining about noise lately, and to be honest it seems to have died down a tad and i think its very fair that people have gone outside to talk during an anime. Its showing respect for others and its not hurting anyone Alex, just your feelings, which it shouldnt cause no one does it to spite you or whatever, its just polite to talk outside rather than over the anime, no?. Also, with the voting thing, why not ask people what they want to watch at the club before doing the poll? As far as im aware these are all your suggestions on what you think we would like to watch. Apologies if i am mistaken. >___<

Oh and you kinda seem like the only one who has a major problem with it really x___x You complain if people talk over the anime, you complain if they go outside to talk, its like they cant win.

The problem with asking people what they want to watch is that they'll choose something that they already know (you can't ask someone to think of an anime they haven't heard of, can you?)

The problem that's seen really is that people have forgotten what they come to the club for- yes there is talking and socialising, but you can't forget that it's an Anime and Manga club (and there is almost always a table with manga on it, and people do read it- I've seen).

So the anime is provided, so why not watch it?
It only takes half an hour out of your life- and if you don't like the first episode, feel free to go outside then, at least you can say you've given it a try and it wasn't your thing? But people have walked out of the first episode, which is seen as quite ignorant. If people stay through the first episode, then walk out- I'd say that's perfectly fine.

And kirsty, please do not think you're being singled out with the whole "bishie" thing. It would be the same thing if a guy walked out cause there was no fanservice, just the problem is that I haven't seen that happen yet. (a guy walk out, for that reason, that is)

Also, I'm under the impression that we're (me and alex) are attacking you lot, from how you're responding. No such thing, we just want the club to go back to it's roots- to how it was. Alex just chooses to use a little more aggression in his words.

That's a good point.. my fault >_< *terrible at keeping time* We should really start the anime at 8:30pm perhaps? Because the club is officially suppose to end at 9pm and like Jeimi pointed out about walking home. So maybe if we started the anime watching earlier?

Urrk.. I was pretty rude to Alex when he point out the time last Monday >_< *blames having a headache and tiredness*

If it opens at 8:30, I have no way of getting to the club.
I'm also pretty sure two hours isn't enough for a lot of people (especially those of us that don't get out much like myself, Alex and anyone else who no longer attends college or university).

I like this notion because we can watch 3 episodes of something and it gives everyone time to settle down and catch up.

Even if you can't hear yourself speaking over what's being watched, other people CAN hear you because the sound is projected outwards but does not return to your ears.

I know it sounds weird but it means there's no reason to elevate your voices.

I see your point, and yeah, obviously people are gonna choose something they already know, im sure Alex isnt searching the internet going 'oooh, purdyfuw! *adds to things to watch*' ....well i hope hes not anyway... XD But yeah, ive just randomly thought of a new suggestion.

Why not make a forum where people get to suggest an anime to watch and post a bit about it (no spoilers, obviously), and let people talk and ask questions about which ones they're interested in, and Alex makes the choices based on how the conversations go...? That way more people are gonna be interested and get to learn about different anime, right?

Oh and about people walking out before watching the first episode, i can see your point there too, but sometimes you know you're not gonna like an anime just by watching the opening, or it can be the animation or characters that put you off, y'know? Ever tried watching five minutes of a black and white film or a black and white romance with all the dramatic music and gasping and the "CHARLES, DONT LEAVE ME, I LOVE YOU!"... yeah i reeeally cant picture you sitting there and watching that >___>'' Be kinda funny if you did though XD Sat there with popcorn, your mum next to you fast asleep, you waking her up by shouting "DONT DO IT CHARLES, DONT DO IT- ch, wanker" XD Yeah o___o'' Anyway my point was that sometimes people just dont like certain things, be they genres, animation, yadda yadda yadda.
