its an old comic routine illustrating the mis understandment of words
in this case its about baseball (male rounders) and so the guys names are stupid
the guy on first base is called "who" then seconed base is a guy called "what" third base called "i don't know"
so when the guy asks who is on first? the other guy misunderstands him and says yes who is on first base and so on. Is a brilliant routine

Lol yeh i do, its clever humor which is greatly missed in todays society
i've watched the original now about 10 times, took me about three viewings to fully understand it

i'm not sure but it seems unlikely as this sketch is from 1945 and i'm not sure if that had happened by then. However there is a tribute to the sketch which involves president bush asking about the chineese hu
