LMFAO *dies* O_O I did not realise that cons were so.. so.. well covered up!!
"But yes, it happens sometimes, thankfully not often here in UK. Last big thing I know of was London Expo in October last year, when we shared the Excel centre with a muslim gathering of some sort. Expo nearly always goes by without incident, but this time...unprovoked attacks everywhere, two riots and a stabbing. 'nuff said."Myself and Abbi went to that one but we didn't have any trouble.. though I know of a cospayer (female) who was beat up with three muslim girls in the toilets!!
"Although it was funny to see all the people going to the other convention being searched for knives on the sunday, while aaallll the cosplayers waltzed into ExCel with bigs swords and stuff."Lmao.. that was pretty cool at the Oct08 Expo..
"I remember at ACEN 2007, some guy was doing a sword demonstration and some smuck wasn't paying attention and walked right into it. Lost a few fingers. One of the better convention cover ups since you barely, if ever hear about it."
"most of these events are covered up, since the cons want to keep the idea that it is a safe place to go, and to let kids go plus they need to keep making that moneeey"RYAN GENTLE.
Anime North '06 - Cup Citadel Slam Ending with a Seizure:
"This is from Anime North '06, the video was given to me by someone on the forums. Man, just watching it gets my blood pumping out of slight shock.
Especially being I'm the one who had the seizure.
The whole thing after the seizure was that I was loaded into the ambulance and slipped in and out of conciousness right after the seizure ended. If anyone wants the full details, post a comment and I'll follow it up with the rest.
And yes, I'm fine. Seems I walked away with such a hard smash with nothing but a bump. Surprising, huh?"
Enjoy your time at the expo! XP

Somebody once asked, "could you spare some change for gas
I need to get myself away from this place."
I said, "yep, what a concept
I could use a little fuel myself
And we could all use a little change."
